Fishin’ Frenzy The Big Catch prints 95.32% on the last page of its paytable. That is the lowest return figure read on this site, 0.80 points under the 96.12% the original Fishin’ Frenzy states, and it is the only one of the three Fishin’ Frenzy sequels read on 12 September 2026 that prints a return at all.

The number is easy to miss. It is not in the rules. The five page rules panel behind the question mark in the menu covers lines, wilds, scatters and the free spins, and never mentions a percentage. The figure sits on the paytable, on the same page as the maximum win, which is where a player who has stopped reading is least likely to look.

Where the 95.32% actually is

Open the menu at the bottom left of the game, then the grid icon. Page four of the paytable prints the maximum win as 250,000, beside a multiplier of x50,000, and directly beneath it the return figure. Read on 12 September 2026 inside the demo build.

Two things about the placement are worth having seen. First, the return is on the paytable and not in the rules, so a reader who goes to the rules for the number, which is where every Pragmatic Play game on this site puts it, comes away thinking the game does not state one. Second, the two newer Fishin’ Frenzy sequels, Even Bigger Catch and The Big Splash, run on a different client and print no return anywhere. The Big Catch is the odd one out in the family for saying it, and the number it says is not a good one.

What 0.80 of a point means next to the original

The original Fishin’ Frenzy states 96.12%. This game states 95.32%. My own subtraction: 0.80 percentage points, which on a 100 stake is 80p a spin in expected return, and on the 400 maximum bet the original allows it would be 3.20.

The usual justification for a lower return is a higher ceiling, and here the ceiling is enormous on paper: 250,000 in currency, x50,000 as a multiple. The original Fishin’ Frenzy states no cap of any kind on its rules screen. So the trade is real, but it is a trade between a number you will meet every spin and a number almost nobody will meet at all. A player choosing between the two games on return alone should choose the older one.

The fisherman is worth five times what the sequels pay him

On this paytable the fisherman pays 1,000 for five on a line, at the default 1.00 total bet. On the two newer sequels he pays 200 for five. That is the largest single difference between the three games and it is on the first page of the paytable.

The fish money values run from 20 to 500 here. On Even Bigger Catch they run 2 to 50 times the bet. The scales are not directly comparable, because this game prints currency amounts at a fixed 1.00 stake and the newer one prints multiples, but at that stake they are the same units, and the older game’s fish are worth ten times as much at the top of the range.

What the newer games have instead is a multiplier layer: gold fishermen, tag upgrades, a collection ladder. This game has none of that. The fish are worth what they say, the fisherman collects them, and the collected total is the win. It is the mechanic the original Fishin’ Frenzy introduced, with bigger numbers on the symbols and no second system on top.

Free spins, and what is not printed about them

Three or more scatters trigger the free spins. During free spins each fisherman collects every fish in view. That is the whole feature as the rules describe it. There is no buy option in the menu and none in the rules, which puts this game with the original and apart from both newer sequels, where a buy is printed at 180x and 100x respectively.

What the rules do not print: the number of free spins a trigger awards, whether they can be retriggered, and any volatility label. Those lines are on the Pragmatic Play games on this site because Pragmatic prints them. Reel Time does not, and this page will not fill them in.
