Fishin’ Frenzy Even Bigger Catch demo: free play, 180x buy, and no printed RTP

Fishin’ Frenzy Even Bigger Catch does not print a return figure. Its four page information panel, read to the bottom on 12 September 2026, covers how to play, the wild, the scatter, the gold fisherman, the collection upgrade and the bonus buy, and never states a percentage. This page will not supply one.

What it does print, and what nobody else in the family prints, is a bonus buy at 180x the total bet. The original Fishin’ Frenzy has no buy. The Big Catch has no buy. The Big Splash buys at 100x. This is the most expensive entry in the line by a clear margin, and what the 180x buys is not the standard free spins round.

Nothing in the panel says what it returns

The panel is four pages. Page one is getting started, how to play, line wins and the wild. Page two is the scatter and the free spins. Page three is the gold fisherman and the upgrade. Page four is the bonus buy, the applicable date and the version number. Scrolling past page four does nothing; it is the last page.

No line on any of the four says return, RTP or theoretical. The facts table above is therefore missing its first row, and it is missing it on purpose. Every Pragmatic Play game on this site prints a return in its rules, and so does the older Fishin’ Frenzy client that runs The Big Catch, at 95.32%. This game runs on Blueprint’s newer framework, and that framework, as shipped in the demo, does not.

Other listings will give you a figure for this game. They are quoting the studio’s marketing page or each other, and this site’s rule is to state only what the game itself states. If you need a number, the operator’s own game information in a real-money lobby is the place it is required to appear.

The 180x buy, and what “Golden Catch” means

Page four of the panel prints the buy at 180x the total bet and names what it purchases: a Golden Catch, a free spins round in which every fisherman that lands is a gold fisherman. To read that properly you need page three.

A normal fisherman, in free spins, collects the value of every fish in view. A gold fisherman does the same, then picks three fish, and each pick reveals a multiplier from x2 to x10 that is applied to what that fisherman collected. In a normal round the gold fisherman is a chance event. In a bought round he is every fisherman, so every collect carries a pick and every pick carries a multiplier.

That is why the buy costs 180x and not the 100x that The Big Splash charges. You are not paying to skip the trigger. You are paying for a round with a different rule set, and the panel is explicit that this is what the 180x is for. Whether the extra 80x is worth the difference is a question the panel does not answer, because it prints no return for the base game and none for the bought round either.

Fish worth 2 to 50, and a fisherman worth 200

The fish prizes are printed as multiples of the bet: 2, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 and 50. The fisherman as a line symbol pays 200 for five at a 1.00 total bet. On The Big Catch the same symbol pays 1,000 and the fish run 20 to 500, so on the symbols alone the older game is worth five to ten times more.

The gap is the multiplier layer. A 50x fish collected by a gold fisherman with a x10 pick is 500x, which is where The Big Catch’s biggest fish already sits without any picks. The newer game moves the value out of the symbols and into a mechanic that has to fire, which is the same design decision every sequel in this family has made since the original, taken a step further.

Four fishermen upgrades the smallest fish

The third thing the panel prints is a collection count. Every four fishermen collected in the free spins upgrades the lowest fish value on the reels and awards five more free spins. That is a retrigger and an upgrade in one line, and it is the mechanic that gives the round a shape: the longer it runs, the fewer 2x fish are left on the reels to collect.

What the panel does not print: how many free spins the trigger awards, whether there is a cap on the total, and any maximum win. The original Fishin’ Frenzy at least states that its free spins cannot be retriggered. This game’s panel is silent on the starting count and silent on the ceiling, and this page is silent with it.

Where the 180x leaves a reader

This is the Fishin’ Frenzy with the most machinery and the least printed about what the machinery returns. If a stated return matters to you, the original at 96.12% and The Big Catch at 95.32% are the two games in the line that give you one. If the buy matters to you, this is the only game in the line where the buy changes the rules of the round rather than just skipping to it, and it is priced accordingly.

The date and version to look for

• Page four of the information panel. The applicable date should read 16/01/2023 and the version 1.0. A later date means the panel has changed and may now print a return.
• The buy price. 180x. If your lobby shows a different multiple, the operator has configured it and this page’s figure no longer applies.
• The real-money game information. UK operators are required to make the return available. Look there for the number this demo does not print.
